  • LiPo Chargers

    Morning chaps/lasses !

A question for those in the know, I'm still pretty new to this hobby, but I now have a reasonable collection of LiPo batteries of varoius configurations which I charge with various specific chargers. Can anyone reccomend a good reliable charger that will cater for various config's of LiPo's and is reasonably priced, and available in the UK ?

    Thanks in advance, Si.

Pro-Peak Prodigy II, I bought one as a second charger for my LiPo's and I now use it more than the Schulze that was twice the price.

if your not going to run less than 5s then the pro-peak constellation is pretty good. I find it easier to use than the prodigy and you can setup memories with battery setups in them.

If you see yourself flying bigger stuff or just want complete future proofing then the schulze that smoothound mentionedis the way to go. It has upgradeable software so as new technologies come along you dont have to buy a new charger.

It is capable of charging 11s li-po although I think the charge current at that voltage drops down to 3.5 amps. Which is really its only limitation.

It is more expensive than the others at around 130ukp. But the first time a new chemistry comes along it will save you much more than the price difference between the chargers.

          Hi,

If you only want to charge lipos then I recommend ThunderPower's TP-1010C or if you want to charge lipos, nicad, NiMH etc then go for a Schulze 330D or the 636.
