Is there any way to stop the following view no matter where the heli flys. I want to try to make it so that I can't just fly over my head and automatically follow. It's not real and it doesn't happen like that at the field!

So when you fly you don't actually watch your heli???

No, shut me eyes and hope for the best.

What I mean is it would be more realistic if the view didn't orientate automatically. Just the same as following the heli without the ground in view it doesn't happen on the field.

To be fair, you shouldn't really be flying over your head

This isn't coming across the right way. I don't fly over my head at the field just suggesting it would just be realistic if the view in Phoenix didn't re-orientate as if you were turning with it, even with the heli in front of you the aspect isn't realistic. I guess you can't do what I want it to but thanks anyway for your help.

I know what you are saying but I was in PEDANT mode

To be honest if you stick to flying as you would at the field it should never happen

Not sure how your field operates but with a 5m, 10m, 15m etc. flight line you should never get close to overhead

Thing is when there are no rules at all people relax too much and flying overhead is often accepted.

In some areas it's just normal practice. I can supply examples but some flyers get offended and start ranting

Experiment with turning aurtozoom off and using the ground in view option and see if they suit you any better.

In real life, directly overhead is a very difficult position to recover from...
