Peice of Crap FM Radio Lockout

Hey all,

Well i was going to go out and do some circuits, so i went to the park, took off after mounting the battery slighty forward to have a dead on CoG and it flew alot better. In mid air the heli jerked forwards i imeidiatly landed and checked it over. seemed fine,

Took off was flying ok, lost complete control i Shouted LOCKOUT and it came down, luckily the only damage was the training gear, so i took that off, gave the heli a complete check over and then waited around 20mins again, we moved to a diffrent location, not too far away around 25meters

so i take off just waist height and its very light without the training gear, like the wind could just take it away, guess what, got a F*cking lockout again, this time the canopy is broken and a tiny tiny chip in the tail blade, other then that its fine,

I would of packed up and gone the second time but i wanted to make absolute sure it was radio interferance rarther then something else.

So im kinda ****ed that i cannot do anything else till i order a new canopy and get the AR6200.



Gonna give my heli a full check over in a bit aswell,

Also, when i was flying with the training gear off, jeez its like flying paper, so lightwaight the wind just picks it up, so i think my landing is sorted as i made 3 to 4 fast landings from waist heights. i dont like it! lol

yeah get yourself sorted with the Dx7

ones you've put it on the dx7 it will open up a whole load of new settings which you can use to make it fly better! especially when you want to 3D more and more

If you were just hovering in front of yourself it would not be interference. Have a really careful check of all your wiring, connector pins, switches, batteries etc. Much more likely to be a 'mechanical' problem with those items than a radio lockout issue. Did all the servos freeze or go hard over, or was it just in elevator? There are lots of clues normally for every crash, and my experience over many years is that it is almost never a radio link issue (even on 35MHz). A new Rx won't help you if there is a hidden intermittent problem somewhere in the rest of the aircraft.
