I'm currently building a G5, and my biggest flyinh heli is a GAUI Hurricane 200.

Part of me agrees with you, as the G5 is so nicely engineered.

Another part says that the H200s seem to work well just as they are (for what I do), and going down the T-Rex 250 route on a heli this size is just going to make it heavier - possibly for no gain.

[IIRC, the T-Rex 250 is 50% heavier than the H200.]

ive had my g5 since 3d masters!! i love her to bits!! my mate got the trex 250, and as cute as it is, ive jut heard to many things go wrong, plus, ive seen afew build pic of the outrage 200, it a complete copy of the g5, just half the size!! much better looking thatn a trex250 in my opinion!!!!

I saw AshleyD's flying last summer, and looking at the design features it seemed really 'right'.

I was looking at my G5 bits today, and thinking how cute a 200 would be - except it's either going to need a load of bolts smaller than M2, or have a lot of overly heavy metal-work.

I wonder how well some of those cute bits will scale down (like the flybar see-saw & control-rods, etc). Whereas those on the H200 are possibly lower spec, but lighter.

Then again, I use a fairly humungous LiPo in my H200 to get it to balance. I don't think the rear engine helps in this respect.

the 200 is scheduled to be after the 50 nitro, of which we should see prototypes at end of January. So it will be a little while yet I think.
