and its easy to say "hit the throttle hold" switch too on watching the clip.

Not being funny here but experience will tell you that as soon as trouble occurs "ie" losing the tail at height just hit the hold switch, A heli dropping to the ground under power will wreck it.

A heli with hold activated is just a fall so to speak.

Its hard for the brain to tell your hands to grab the hold switch when you "Might" have a chance of saving it, In this case you can hear the pilot saying "Ive lost it the tails gone"

At that moment he should have grabbed the hold.

Hard luck on the crash though mate, Glad you know what caused it and have it sorted now.
