yes thats westbury near trowbridge, we were flying from the north slope at the white horse. loverly slope one of my favorites.

i wish some of the paraglider pilots at westbury would bugger off sometimes i think they tie themselves to the hill!

Flying there one time had not only hang gliders but a full size Cirrus decided to join in, it all got a bit interesting.

Great slope, just a pity its so far away now.

Looks like you guys had a great time. Pity I was stuck in the land of the rising turnip (Norfolk - in laws. Thanks for the invite though Ade )

Only time I go to Westbury is to Blue Circle Cement delivering goods.

A good pub down the road though that serves a decent steak.

Born in Suffolk and now living in Lincolnshire, so slope soaring models is a bit of a non-starter I'm sad to say, which is a pity. I imagine that landings must be a bit of a challenge?

Actually Thomas, that was a 'Trev Style' recovery from a low tip stall and it worked as there was no damage

Arrr, sorry Trev my mistake as it is hard to tell a recovery from one of your usual landings

I can see how you'd make that mistake...Need to get the brakes set up properly as they're only setup for full brake, anywhere in between makes the model behave nasty, gonna have to make use of the curve on the elevator...

I had the brakes set up perfectly when I had it, oh hang on, I was using a JR 9XII

Now have a 6 to 4 pin firewire converter so will post some video.

No you didn't - When you had it the glider just tried to slam itself vertically into the ground, I remember commenting on it when I first landed it with ur tx. Now at half brake it goes down but full brake it flares nicely...
