Web site building is a very hard thing to do so it takes a lot of hard thinking to build a layout page that attracts poeple.
Im affraid this web site just dosn't do anything.
I think he needs to finish it or get some more of it done before he posted the link ... In his defence if I remember rightly he is only very young teenager so come on guys give him a chance
Liam is only 12 young and keen to learn. He bought a glow stick of me via the auctions and I only wish my 12 year old would be half as interest in heli's as he is....but mine prefer's xbox and online games. Well I've got another three boy's and one will surely be a future heliaddict.

Well done Liam and I hope it goes well for you. It's good to see youngsters making the effort.
Yep, well done Liam. I thoroughlly agree with Bugster, it's good to see youngsters making an effort, and one thing's for certain, you're doing a heck of alot better than I could do (and alot of other old gits on here)
Well done for having a go! When I was 12, the Internet didn't exist!
It looks like the site is created using a "site builder" tool. This will give you a good appreciation of what can be done, but may be a bit limiting if you want to do anything non-standard.
If you're interested in web design and have any questions, I have a web company so PM me and I'll do my best to answer them.
The key to any good website is think about who you want to visit (your target audience) and then tailor the content to that audience. Also, a common mistake is to start on the computer. All our sites are planned on paper first so we get the structure right - only then do you move on to actually building it.
Hope this helps

The standard of web design has come on loads in the last few years and the investment some of the big companies make in their sites has really driven the benchmark up. Of course, looking at a site you have no idea whether its built by a team of designers or a 12 year old in his bedroom, so its an easy mistake to make!
A few years ago, you could put together a reasonable site with minimal effort using "off-the-shelf" tools but this is becoming increasingly difficult. However, the most important thing for most sites is content. This site is a good example - there's no fancy graphics/flash etc but we all visit regularly because the content is what we're after so there's no need! Judging by the site stats, Stuart posted a while back it's very heavily used.
Whilst on the subject, how about starting a wish list for a helicopter site - what would we like to see on a site that isn't already being done. I wondered about voiced Phoenix demos like the tutorials, maybe slowed down...
Anyhow, the weather's fine today so I'm going flying I think!!!
All the best

I have in my role within business enterprise have seen so many websites for clients designed by apparently reputable web companies that don't even place keywords in to page descriptions in to pages, then go back to the same client 12mths later and sell them google adwords or online TV campaign's at thousands of pounds or SEO. The scarey thing is in most cases we are paying for 50% of the costs yet we don't have the internal systems to actually verify the level of work provided as being satisfactory. No surprise when I find google analytics code in the page source yet the client doesn't even know its there and who's tracking what little data the original website provider....
