Lipo charger

Hi, i have 2 lipo batterys and a lipo charger. where you connect the lipo to the heli, The charger has the same connector. So there is no balacer. Is this safe?? I realy dont want to catch my house on fire. It just i heard it from other people they are not safe with out no balacer. It does beep when it charger, so would it be ok just to charge it out side or just put it in a tin while charging. Is it a smile or a sad face?

The problem you have where a lipo doesn't have a balance lead is the cells can not be balanced when charging - so once they go out of balance (different voltages in the cells) you can't rectify it. Once they go out of balance enough, you can end up in the situation where you are over charging one or more cells (if one or more are well out of balance).

I'm not about to suggest that it's perfectly safe to charge without balance leads over the long term - however, my first lipo packs did not have balance leads on them and I used them for quite a while - no doubt with them going out of balance in the process...

They became unusable and replaced with better packs. Nothing bad happened to them during my use of them.

u just wanna hope that they are strapped to that POS heli when they do go.

it will save u so much hassle in the long run.
