Black Friday

not sure if this is a well known thing, but it was news to me so forwarding it on...

In the US the first friday after thanksgiving is known as Black Friday and most of the retailers have huge sales. Think Next on boxing day type sales.

So this will be THIS friday.

I know several stores around here that are opening at five AM. I have no idea if any of the American etailers are going going to take part. It is definetely worth keeping an eye on helidirect and the others.

If I see any particularly great deals I'll post them up here.

Incidentally back in Cardiff Black Friday was the last Friday before Christmas day when traditionally the miners would get a half day and their christmas bonus. There would be people passed out drunk on St Mary's Street at 7pm.
