    Thanks.

I'd ignored this bit on the basis that I use a USB link, so don't need to get into set-up mode - and was having too much fun playing with the gyros...

However, while this hasn't caused me problems so far, it means that the gyro potentially doesn't compensate if the Tx yaw zero drifts.

Like you, I didn't like the idea of binding with the yaw at an extreme value, but doing it with the gain set ~10% sounds good.

    I think I'll go and re-visit it.

Lee, TBH I just follow the manual and it just works for me. I leave the complicated stuff to Angelos .

Most problems I've had are sitting the DX7 next to the RX resulting in the odd slow/non connection, my guess its swamping the RX. Moving the Tx further away and re-cycling the power usually sorts that.

Make sure you always do a full control movement check and not just rely on your lights/voltage indicator showing power is in the system especially with Spectrum, but then again we all do that right?

There's no problem binding with the rudder at full stick, unless you are using a 9000 receiver and have set the individual failsafe settings, should the radio loose link the only servo that goes to the bound position is throttle, all others hold last position.

Its just simply 2 diffrent methods of doing the same thing really, they both work and i preffered setting the gyro gain low as per Angelos and the spartan website instructions. Again horses for courses.
