    Hi Craig

Welcome to the forum, I don't want to sound negative but you might want to consider moving the Kalts on and getting something a little more current, Kalt was made in Japan but the company folded about 12 years ago now so almost zero chance of getting good spares support for them, I know Midland helicopters aquired all of the old distributors stock but I don't know if thye have any useful parts left now.

As you have the models and if you can sort out the clutch on one then you might as well use them but you will be amazed how much better a modern model is.

    Cheers

Ebay or use BMFA AD site sell the kalts people will buy them after them for spares etc etc themselves.

1 crash and your going to have problems sourcing spares.

get rid and get a modern day 50 helicopter

          Hi Craig
I have a Baron 30 and a stack of spares, at the moment it is confined to the shed as I havnt got round to replacing a faulty Gyro. But I do like to fly the heli and think it is a nice heli to fly. what engine are you using?. when I first got mine it had an MDS38 engine in it which I have since learned stands for "mine dont start" . Enjoy it and enjoy the hobby

            Tricky one.

I have very fond memories of the baron 30, the little bugger is bullet proof (dont ask).

Fly the B30 , flog everything else and when u break the B30 sell it and get something new from Bob J.

DONT spend cash on it, just fuel.

They seem to sell well for some strange reason so u won't have dramas getting rid of it.

Hi I love the old Space Baron.
I learned to fly on mine and I still have it in one piece.
Recently I picked a Baron 'S' free of charge which is like new and flys really well.

                Hi guys

It also depends a little on what head is on the Baron's, the origenal flexi plate head was prone to boom striking as soon as you looked at it, the later S (Genisis) head was better for sure.

                Cheers

Snap!! i've also got fond memories of the B30 and it served me well and in good stead...........i could strip one down and back up again in my sleep and usually did till God knows what time in the morning......it was the Raptor 30 that took over from the B30 for the masses though i remember every one poo poing that in a big way when it first came out......but it got welcomed in with open arms in the end along with the other 2 size's models they do.

Once you can fly skip the 30 and get a 50

Wow someone else who had one did you pay full price for it Craig or get it for silly money.......i paid about a £100 for mine a year before the B30 became out dated i had it in a tripple 222 scratch scale body a friend built.......that Ali head was a total master piece of engineering i think it was around the £150-£200 mk when it came out.

i paid about 4-500 quid for the lot and i did get loads. full box of new/used parts, full ali head/tail. giros/servos/trans/starting kit/flight box/2 engines/load of blades/shafts/booms ect ect. i recon i got about 4 kalt baron helicopters in all, encluding 2 that flys. Nice to know that if i have a bad crash then i don't have to spend hours looking for parts.
