  • Too cold to fly

With the weather like it is today I have just dug out my sim for a quick spin and its reminded me what a great little sim it is - The CML RC Helimaster, basic but great for practicing a few moves.

I used to have reflex but my pc wasnt up to the job so got this helimaster for the princley sum of £25 and I have to say I would heartily reccomend it for anyone who has yet to get a sim.

Never heard of that one. If it's any good (for beginners) it would be a steal at £20 or so including the dummy tx!

Edit: their free demo version seems incredibly slow and jerky :-(

It wasnt that bad here, so I took the T-rex 500 out for a couple of flights, the batteries did display lower power (especially the 2200) but thats to be expected.

Strange - it runs smooth as a whistle for me it says on the cd it needs these computer requirements...

windows98/me/2000/xp/vista (not mac compatible), pentium 1.0Ghz or equivalent, 256mb ram, 64mb 3d video card 9direct x compatible) 300mb hard disk space.

dont know if thats any help?

Just one tank full today with the 600nsp.

Really biting cold so decided that sitting by the warm fire was a better bet.

I thought it odd, too. The machine runs Phoenix fine, so is way in excess of the given requirements. Shame because it feels a lot better than FMS.

Too breezy to risk it here, was bitter cold but that wouldn't have stopped me, just the rain and wind that put a hold on it

Hear in the Pacific Northwest it's a balmy 18*F outside. So I tested in my basement, for final adjustments. the 450xl is starting to fly nice. I start to get thumb dumb and set her down. Oh well, I needed to charge the battery anyway. Hope it warms up tomorrow. Till then I'll fly the Sim...Practice Practice Practice...By the way..when do you suggest I take of the training gear??
