  • Cheers Lee / Made2fade

Just a big thanks for Lee setting my heli up for me by post! I sent him my unfinished 450 last week, and it was sent out ready to fly on friday

He pretty much fully rebuilt it and test hovered in his living room:O

All for a very good next to nothing rate too!!!

And not a single bit of pink in sight :O

Unfortunately despite it flying spot on now, i think id rather a 500, so the helis up for grabs, but as a swap i hope, not an outright sale!

    Cheers lee!

    lee is top draw,

he's help'd me set up most my heli's and deal with some problems, virtually via msn but he's very patient and explains things really well, quality guy!....

why change if you've got your heli spot on?? surely you wanna fly it a bit first!?

    cheers
    Tom

      I'm shocked to be honest.

As Tom states Lee has gone to a lot bother setting it all up for you.

I too would love a t-rex 500 though my own personal credit crunch wont allow it either but if anyone wants to swap one for a ragged out mini titan that doesn't fly that well please pm me! the 500 must have all the best bits too, i dont want no crap!

Lee's a top bloke, I've had the privilege of many conversations off forum where he's helped and suggested settings that once mastered, I tailored to suit my style of flying and what I felt comfortable with, as per his say so I may add.

Mate, I'm really pleased you've got a cracking machine set up by a Pro' so enjoy her, the 450's fly great regardless of version, yes the T500 is a babe and a half to fly, but (and this is just my humble opinion) stick with your spanking 450, she's loads cheaper Li Po wise, and you now need to get out there and enjoy what you do best.

Postpone the 500 until next year, as you never know you may be able to have both.

Well, both would be ideal, so who knows... but yes lees helped many times... including setting up my 600 over msn etc. Who knows i might get better at it if i sit and look at it long enough :P

This was just to thank lee for making it flyable

Its my own fault for buying a heli i couldnt fly lol.

Have to say i agree with Wayne mind Tom... postpone the 500 until your in a better position next year mate You have been on here long enough to realise that if you listen to what the key players on here say then you'll be okay in the long run. Hope that doesnt sound funny but its actually reality. Unlike when your a beginner and you first come on here and ask for advice then you go away and do exactly the opposite (ive done it too beleive me). Then you find yourself in a hole. You have a sound machine there mate, setup as if one of my own. And you know how particular i am with my helis right? If you swap/trade it then whats gonna happen is you could get another heli with someone elses problems. Which has happened 2 times to ya already right? Stick with what you know is working/setup well and just learn to fly the bugger. All this swapping/changing helis is giving you very little stick time and thats whats important if you want to be a good pilot mate. Good luck with whatever you do, thats just how i see it.
                    Cheers
                    Lee

Mate if I can chuck my 450 all over the place like a maniac then anyone can, in fact I fly my 500 very steadily compared to my 450, and you'll soon get used too her after a few days.

                        What colour Eddie Star?

Lee (Made2Fade) with the greatest of respect, I love reading your posts; they are impartial to the point and well thought out. Equally your love and determination to help, assist and guide all grades of pilots is admirable.

Your sense of humour especially with the Pink walls banter which earned you a converted Eddie Pink Star, is just the sort of fun a forum needs.

Personally I want to award you with an Eddie Star.

I will leave that up to the forum to decide either a Pink or Gold star.

Either way I think you are a top bloke especially for what you did with Tom’s Trex 450.
                        Cheers Eddie

Thanks for the nice comments and pms guys, most appreciated. Im happy to help anyone. I do it because its my way of putting a little bit back in to this forum. The wealth of information i have learned from here is so much that i just love to share it with others. When i set Toms helicopter up i talked over msn messenger with him and informed him why i was doing this and that to his model. Tom therefore learned something and hence my (and the forums) knowledge was passed on to him. Hopefully he'll do the same and so will the next person. And this is why i think that this forum is number 1. Because there are alot of top guys on here that pass on information and do other great things for people. As long as this is happening then we will always have a fantastic forum and hobby that are second to none. Stuart puts alot of hard work into keeping this place running and i respect that and kinda show it by offering any help i can.
                          Thanks again.

Lee gets a Gold Star as far as I am concerned. He has helped me out on lots of occasions, mostly by PM, and as a direct result I have learned to understand the intricacies of pitch and throttle curves. He is a top bloke as far as I am concerned and fully deserves recognition for his assistance to both new and accomplished fliers.

                            Lee - Many thanks.
