Price Increases

Uuuh OOhhh its started...

Anyone noticed that the OS 50 Hyper has gone up to £154 rrp !! - Just about to re order some from Ripmax!

Plus the GY 401 is now £129, and JR have increased their prices !!

Just when you thought things were getting cheaper!

I know to ignore RRP's buts thats a £40 increase! (more than 30%)

All the stuff that's made in the far east is going to go up due to the Pound not doing well against the Yen.

Whilst price rises are inevitable, I'm freezing the Maxpoly prices for the time being and we're having a 5S sale starting very soon.

If you have a 500 size heli and need some packs keep an eye on the website over the next day or so

Great to know Andrew I think were gonna be stretched a little soon possibly, so all being well having a third 5S will be great.

My spares are plentiful for the 450, not so much for the 500, then again I never do anything experimental with it as I do with my 450, however with a healthy stock of Li Po's if things become a bit tight or spares become more expensive then as said before more gentle flying will be in order, possibly time now to stock up on a few extras before the price hike really sets in.

Trouble with flying unlike a hobby like photography is it can be a constant drain on your resources with wear and tear, crash damage etc, where as photography once the kit has been purchased unless you get images developed it doesn't cost anything further on once sorted.

However nothing offers the rush like flying, and knowing when you get in a difficult situ' that enough knowledge has been acquired to avoid a possible crash without panicking is peace of mind, after reading this thread possibly I started flying and learning just at the right time CCPM wise, as expensive as this can be, being able to fly - land on a continues basis keeps flying costs to a minum.

I believe its because of the confidance in the new president plus the fact the the US are going to start tapping into the new forgatten oil fields within the US = x billions of barrels of oil thats still untapped in Alaska.

Apparently because of all the green peace movement they haven't bothered to tap into it but now there aconomy is sooooooo fcuked as as many are at this time they've now got the green light!

This is in line with the change in the exchange rates. The US$ is now 32% more expensive than it used to be in June. If things don't get better quick it is just a matter of time before all imported goods are affected.

Club member bought a Satio 4 stroke thats gone up in 2 weeks by 80 pounds!

Hardly anything we use in this hobby contains enough 'British made' parts to avoid the price rises.

Even British assembled items like the Spartan gyros will depend on parts made elsewhere.
