I took a couple of helis to the field today, and ended up with my trusty Rappy30 hitting the deck . I was flying faily quickly downwind at about 20ft off the ground when the motor died. being partially deaf and the heli downwind I didnt hear it. It landed in long grass and cartwheeled over but all in all damage was fairly light.
1 broken blade ( why is it always 1)
Bent flybar
1 blade grip
Bent boom

I reckon the clunk line is the problem as the tank was 1/2 full but so was the header tank.

Oh well its the first crash I have had with this heli so not too dissapointed.

Get her rebuilt over the next few days ready for the next decent weekend we have.

Phillip had a drum lesson this afternoon so no flying today for me plus weather was rubbish...........

Higham has finished for this year now, and for the rest of this year it is Sunday only at Marks Tey (weekdays available if you can make it). Although this coming weekend it is a no fly day as I believe the horses are racing.
