  • Another Hobby for the winter months??

Thinking of taking up another hobby for the winter months I would enjoy and could become world champion in as I’m having no luck with this heli flying lark,,

Thought about stamp collecting, (if I could remember the proper name for it I’d use it)
I suppose you must get the same adrenalin rush seeing a penny black as hovering inverted,

Train spotting, but your out in all weathers for that, and I don’t think they have a world champion spotter,

Twitching, but has the same above mentioned problems.

    Any suggestions?

    run out of ideas now,,,

    Take up surfing!!
There's far less people out there catching the waves in winter than there are in summer.
None of this "my wave" malarky from some git who paddled further out to get the wave than you did

Can get a bit chilly though
Got to watch out for "ice cream head" too when a wave breaks on you, or you're ducking under on the paddle out
    Cheers,

        Paintballing? Airsofting?

          Take up mountain biking
The fair weather bikers are staying at home leaving the trails free to really romp down the hills and mountains of the hardcore mountain biker!
It's more of a group/social activity that surfing which can be solitary at times, even though you're out in a group usually

A decent full suspension bike capable of some decent treks should only set you back around £500 or so - plus a karcher pressure washer or similar to clean the crud off after a day out

          Good fun
          Cheers,

Why not try something off the wall like radio controlled helicopters.

I used to know someone who did that.

I could buy a nice scale kit for that sort of money!
