  • JR X2610 with Piccolo Eco V2

    Hi

I just bought a JR X2610 Radio and would like to set it up with my Piccolo, the piccolo is using the picoplus board, and does not seem to be working, I have tried changing the JR crystal in the JR Reciever with the piccoboard and still no joy, I have set it to heli, and have the radio on PPM, should it be set to SPCM ?
and should I get a single conversion crystal for the piccoboard reciever ? prefferably a JR one ?
this was all as a result of the piccoboard reciver and transmitter that came with the kit being totally useless, the servo's are very jittery and if I hold the reciever further from the motor, it becomes stable, it never remains constant in it's setup, and I am always tinkering with getting the setup stable...
Hence the decision to go for a better radio.
Does anybody know or have an idea to point me in the right direction ?

    Thanks
    G

Are you using the JR reciever? You need to have a single conversion crystal on the same frequency as your TX.

Different radios have different mapping for their channels, Make sure the picco board is connected up correctly.

JR X2610 with Piccolo Eco V2

Using the piccoplus reciever board, would love to use the JR reciever, but how do I get power to it ?
the piccoplus reciever seems to get power from one of the channels used for the main rotor, and tail rotor it would seem ?
I would prefer to use the JR reciever, as I tingk it would be better suited for the job, and give better performance, and support for PPM, and SPCM, and match with the transmitter...
One wierd thing that I have noticed on the reciever is that the JR/FUTABA switch which is referred to in many posts does not even exist on my reciever ????
If I use the JR reciever, do I need to get an addtional battery to power it...I am sure with the extra weight, it will end up becomming a display model...
      Cheers

your right, the power comes from the main part of the picco board also known as BEC, battery eliminator circuitry.

the problem with using the JR rx is that it weighs more than than the picco rx but it does sound like your having rx issues so its a good place to start.
