Practice on the Phoenix sim Mark.

Then go out the club and put it into practice for real.

Its been said before, Ronnie O Sullivan can tell you how to pot balls but he can't make you do it.

Its all about practicing, Thats what I do and it works one step at a time.

Sorry but the sim doesn't cut it in terms of perspective for some things the sim is not enough even on a 22" widescreen monitor. Oh yea and my computer runs OSX... Sim doesn't run unless I go to XP and then my machine is not working as everything else is used in OSX. Annoying is the only way to describe it let me swap your heli you fly for a Hawk 50 then you know how I feel in XP.....

I don't even know how to enter or start a move I need to actually be shown and see it and explained etc

then I'll get it for some muppets like me its the only way

If you want to have lessons from your location I think there is Noel Cross, who can be contacted through Midland Helicopters or Nigel Fraser-Kerr here http://fraserker.com/helilessons/

This is the best advice you will ever hear? To get better is bloody hard and takes flipping ages to achieve. However, every step you improve will give great pleasure.

Busterboy, I need some inspiration from a fellow mode 1er. Fancy a sim session soon?
                      Cheers Matt

I've read it so many times on here and the other forums, the next step from where you are is to learn inverted circuits, forward, backwards, left and righthand and Inverted piros.
You wouldn't need instruction to learn these, any more than you did to learn it all the right way up!
And you will have the pleasure of knowing your the first heli pilot to actually take this advise!!

i'm doing some stuff on the sim but again to me the perspective isn't right Slowly doing inverted etc

oh don't get me wrong I do use the sim but not enough and again I NEED to see a move and then have it broken down for my brain to figure it out...

I learned to fly without a sim originally by the way, circuits, hovering, nose on stall turns etc sim has helped smooth it out though through different things and help me not panic when it looks like the heli is going in
