I'm looking at going one bigger than my trex450, the trex 500 superpro looks good, but what are the servos and esc like? will i need to replace them or will they do? Atom also looks good but at £350 with no blades it's a lot more, and the protus has had good things said but when i crash it the frames likely to break! although a carbon frame version is in the pipeline. I'm still learning and am at the backwards flying stage, ok right way up and inverted fwrd circuits and want somthing to progress my flying. What do you guys think?

Aligns UK pricing is normally pretty good even with the pound as it is now,the 500 ESP converts to £383 so i expect it will be £399 at most. This is fully blinged up and supplied with carbon blades and 3 off 510 cyclic servos which i hear are pretty good.
Not sure i would want the Torque tube tail though but its a very high spec model for the price compared to the other options.
Also it has all carbon frames etc,the Atom at £349 is G10.
The current 500 Carbon with blades is £289,the SuperPro version on Aligns website is only 80USD more than this version so it will be quite cheap i reckon. When you consider it has metal arms where the current one has plastic,a TT tail should you want it,and the servos for that extra 80USD it seems a bargain.Last edited by ChrisB; 01-11-2008, 10:17 PM.
