Coming from High Wycome myself, and knowing a little about HW Model Club, how many Helicopter Pilots fly there?, and how well are they accepted by the non-heli membership ?.
OK, slightly loaded, and cynical questions, but from my experiance HW Club is a typical "Planks Preferred" club, which unfortunately are all too common throughout the country.
Oddbodded, I fly at a "club" in Stokenchurch, which is a Heli only site (except for the odd electric plank as light relief). If you need real Helicoper experiance and help that's the place to be locally, and the field owner also offers lessons, as does Ade Law at Flying Aid
Do a couple of trial visits to HW Model Clubs field(s), before you join, and check out the situation for yourself, it might have changed since I last looked
I assume you have found Skyline Models in Studley Green
Thanks for the words. I have been up to skyline, they mentioned about a field owner that teaches close to them, I've got to pop back to collect some bits for my mosie, weather permitting maybe I'll book an hours lesson. Kill two birds and all that......................
