  • Today was a good day.

Had a really good day today,no one in the family aprreciates it , so I thought I would share it with you.

Nexus actually felt like flying today and it was a real blast. Really got to grips with stall turns and even pulled off a couple of 540's. Absoulutly wicked. One went horribly wrong so I even ended up doing my first loop, a touch scew, but it definetely went round.

As usual managed to stuff it into the ground after fluffing a 540, but it was awesome, makes you realise just why you've persevered.

Think a knight 50 is on the order books now!!!

If you put a Nexus in it's not worth the cost of getting a new main shaft let alone anything else

Not the easiest thing to source either as QuickUK no longer make the Stainless mainshaft so its the OEM part or nothing...

Thats been the problem recently though Midalnd Heli's have been pretty good at suppling bits.

Knight 50 has been bought though and assembled. Instructions are pretty rubbish but it looks to be a good bit of kit
Just need to get some more cash together to get a new engine now.

Managed to patch nexus together so hopefully get some more stick time tomorrow

You could also try http://www.alansmodels.com/ as they stock Nexus parts although I doubt anyone will stock stuff in a year or so.

As soon as I can get some vid of mine flying its going on ebay. Hopefully will get more for it with the OS32 and the FF6 etc than stripping it for parts... will have to do some calculations I guess.
