  • Heli Flying in the US

Im on a works trip in the US at the moment and currently in Sacramento in California.

Looking out of my appartment window the other day i heard that familiar wine of a model heli and i just had to investigate!

I was amazed to find no less than 20 heli flyers on a football field giving it all ! After a long chat ive found that electric helis are now the in thing over here and the trex 500 is v popular not many Nitros were present other than a raptor 90, ancient morley and a trusty Raptor 50!

The Mikado brand was very well represented with no less than 8 logo 500, 600 helis with some very different power set ups they call them the workhorses the MSH Protos is also proving popular with one chap bringing up 5 kits for his fellow flyers im guessing he is a shop owner or somthing

Sadly with the market the way it is it is not any cheaper to buy your kit over here, I was hoping to get a bag load of top end servos but there is no saving to be had at present !

Oh yes and the flying wether here is perfect no wind, 26 degrees I must bring my heli on the next trip !!
