30 or 50

How much better is a 50 really? I've got a nexus at the moment but I'm looking to move to a sceadu or raptor sometime next year.

Problem as usual is cash. I've got a fairly new asp in the nexus and the cheap option would be to buy a 30 kit and swop all the kit including engine. Bonus, good heli that I should enjoy.

BUT everyone raves about 50's so how long before I want to upgrade again. Is it worth hanging out till I can get a 50 kit and new engine. Just seems a shame to waste the asp.

The 50 is a 30 with longer boom, & blades and a different (8.5-1) gear ratio. I went from the Nexus to a Raptor 50 because I decided I would put together the best I could for average money.
I have 9252's on head and 9254 on tail with 401 gyro. OS50 Hyper which runs fine (although chaps at club have gone back to 50SX-H as a couple of Hypers have failed!).
Would I buy a 50 if I had to do it again... definately
Would I buy a 30 if I didnt want to purchase all the extra's... yes.
