Was that a free plug to your own packs lol. Even my align 6s packs were better than these!
    yeah free plug there
The Align 6S pack was the first good pack they did and it's not actually that difficult to find a pack that outperforms FP these days. If you start looking at the testing community work of recent you will see that FP rarely gets reviewed well and virtually never gets a first place in a comparison test. However, they continue to be sold in pretty colours.... as I've said many times, never underestimate how far a pretty box can carry an average product.

Jeff... your the fith person to tell me that on this forum... ive yet to have first hand proof of that though

I tried another cycle last night with a 2c set point on the cellpro, this would allow upto a 10A charge into the pack, the charge current maxed out at 2.7A and the voltages were all over the place, took 2 n half hours to charge. Yet the similar good pack peaked at over 10amps and charged in 40mins!!!

          NEWSFLASH!!!

Julian forwarded my email to Ian and Charlotte... charlotte replied... basicly there still analysing my graphs...

but at least julian acted on my email and i had some kind of response!

Although how long did you lot need to look at my graphs to see a fault... wonder if they know what internal resistance is... pmpl...

Well that's not good in itself. When your product does this you need (and should expect) good backup but good backup doesn't make up for bad product. That's a bit like saying my car breaks down every week but hell they fix it for free everytime, so I'm happy.

Cool, I was confident that they would look at them for you Tom as there after sales has always been pretty good, it is also in their interest to look at pack with a problem too and with a market as competitive and as fast as the LiPo one they need to keep on top of things.
              Clones are bad

              .... that includes Align ones

spot on Thomas, I know I give FP a rough time over their products but their after service has always been pretty good and the guys themselves who work for FP are genuinely very nice guys.

well if they pull through, and i hope they do, i guess ill have to get another 600e or similar in the near future!

cheers for your help thomas, will keep you informed.

Comments about bad packs not made up by good aftersales, very true, but as ive only had helis for a year or so, and three at that, these are my first bad packs so i dont know how often this could or should happen lol

hi ashley ,i understand what your saying and will be taking onboard the good advice you give but with the now gone 450 my 500 &600 it works out at a failure rate of less than 10%,now if that's good or bad i don't know but what i was replying to was the back up,i received which was strait back to Leeds models and a no question swap for new

                    cheers jeff

                      After sales Very good!

                      Did i miss something?

I have seven 10s1p and all of them have a cell go over voltage if i charge them more than half an amp, it takes me 13 hours to charge one pack!

I had a 4 flight evo 25 puff a cell during a 4 minute flight in my logo14, phoned fp and spoke to mac, After putting the phone down thought what a great company and posted the pack back straight away.
Three months later and numerous phone calls and emails (remember this is a £260 pack) i was getting slightly pi$$ed off so took legal advice,
To cut a long story short i received a new 10s1p evo 25 first thing i did was check the cell voltages only to find there was 0.3volts difference after a slow charge they all balanced out, Quick 2 minute hover in the back garden and guess what happened!

                      PUFFED A BLOODY CELL

Flight power have had a shed load of my cash all i've got to show is seven paper weights and a dusty logo14
                      Cheers Daren

ok, not so good in that case then...... like I said, I am not keen on the product and don't recommend it ahead of various other manufacturers who produce more reliable and more powerful cells.

                          Lipos

Currently I have 18 lipos ..... none of them are Flightpower (or Thunderpower for that matter) and none of them are puffed They all charge as they should and perform brilliantly. I have seen the quality of flight(no)power lipos, and quite frankly wouldn't buy one if they sold them at half the price.

I know its been said (many) times before but Revolution lipos are the only ones that have been proved long term....

                          Cheers

                              NEWSFLASH!!

Email from Flight power states that they acknowledge my packs are faulty from my graphs, and new replacements are on the way

So maybe i was a little impatiant flaming them... Initially i just assumed the worst when the charger was challenged. May end up returning to the game with a 600e afterall
