Ok so maybe old news to a few here but its new to me

I flew my new T-Rex 600e CF today at Kinross.

What a stunning day for it! No wind and some sunshine

So, First flight! I LOVE this heli

All I needed to do was a touch (4 clicks) of forward elevator trim and to set the dual rates to 50% (thanks to Tom Wilson at the club for that one )

Oh and of course I had the belt tension checked.

Other than that I had set her up as per the manual.

Nothing stupid, just a gentle hover with a few stops to change the trim and its amazing how stable she is

2nd flight. More hovering with the odd bit of side in to get a feel for her and that was that.

Ive changed the throttle curve for next time to get rid of a little skid shake as it was set as per the manual and appears too low and other than that shes sorted.

Time now to go over the bolts etc and make sure everything is still tight and nothings worked loose.

So I'm a very happy bunny tonight. Maidend my first large Heli and no crash.

Next on my list is a leisure battery and another couple of 5000 mah Lipos and I'll be able to get quite a few flights in at the club on a visit.

I might also trat myself to a nice canopy as the white one with the transfers is not to my taste.

    I'm still grinning

the white canopy is crap for orientation once you get it up and circuiting. I use my white canopy for night flying

Nice one, like you i maidened my 600e today too... after a pretty thourough strip down (bought second hand, well swapped), new cyclics, a few other bits, and a setup from scratch, i also found the books throttle curve too low!

Unlike you though im now having issues with the lipos... so not so happy

Hope you have better luck with it

Right! Well due to the family pet having to be put to sleep It would have been a bit harsh to leave my partner on her own last sunday.

So I put about 6 packs through the 600 in the back garden hovering.

What a difference to confidence having a larger Heli makes

It was fair windy with a lot of turbulance due to the house, trees and fence etc.

But where I would have struggled with my 450 the 600 pretty much went where I put it and stayed there

I'll try for a few more tommorrow afternoon and also Sunday at the club if the forcast is wrong for Kinross.

                  Cant wait

                    Sounds like your having fun.
You must have a pretty big garden to be flying a 600e in it!
                    Good luck.

Lol! Not really, its biggish for the 450 but its neat for the 600. Lets just say i make sure I'm at one end and I remain in contorl

Well another 5 packs through in the Garden this afternoon.

I'm really enjoying a bigger heli! Its a lot easier with a bit of power and mass to provide some stability in a breeze. I'm starting to get a feel for her and shes a lot less intimidationg now .

Heres hoping tommorrows weather is not as crap as they say it will be!

I used to think exactly the same Dashik..

                            Until the 700 came along.

That gives the same feeling over the 600e now..

                            Where does it end.

As you have already found out they are a dream to fly after the smaller helis, Hope you have hundreds of happy hours with it, I'm sure you will.

Well if they deliver a 700e then I'm there

oh and btw, I can say the first few hovers with my 600e certainly got the blood pumping lol.

Its very intimidating the first few flights when your used to a 450 se v2 lol!
