Same issue with my Swift. The Raptor is bigger so probably easier.

To keep the aerials away from the electrics (motor / ESC) I have led them out from the Rx fowards into the canopy, but that means they have to 'curl' around the canopy at the front. Trying to keep them at 90 deg to each other is an issue as they tend to follow the shape of the canopy.

I'm assuming that the plastic of the canopy is irrelevant signal-wise.

Haven't range checked it yet. Job for the weekend.

What do other Futaba 2.4 users do? Their antennae (is that the plural of antenna?) are longer than Spektrum ones.

I put mine at the same place as the original Rx and put each antenna on each side of the airframe at the front .. not 90 degrees to each other but it works and range checks fine ... Mine are 7 channel futaba 2.4 Rx's

              Hi Mike

Yeh think I'll do the same allthough might try it with the ant vertically ie one almost touching the wind screen facing backwards and the other facing forwards and down,
should be able to get the full 90degs
if top ant is not a prob with going back over the tx
              What do you think?

Will post pic in a mo

mine go back a little touching the canopy each side but never had n e issues with it like that ... the way you said should be ok as well... try a range check on it first and see how it is ... I have a 2.4 rx in my twinjet and the antenna are 180degrees down the fuse and no loss of signal and range check was way beyond my 35mhz units did hehe ...

Thats roughly how mine is done but the antenna go either side of the front frame ... not got as much bend on the antenna as you have there ....

Mine are forward and stick out like cat's whiskers (sideways) then when I fit the canopy they go 45 degs. to the rear. Your idea should be fine, just do a good range check..
