So how much does the X50 and x90 cost in comparison to a 600N and 700N?

Also the 600N is cheaper than the Knight 3d BUT the 600N Pro is dearer slightly but does have the Torque tube and carbon frames. The 600N belt version which is the same spec as the K3d is far cheaper.

I have just seen the prices PMSL hardly a fair comparison,i wouldnt touch a heli kit that costs that much with a barge pole.

I will stick with the 700,the one that won 3DM and as long as i live i will never be capable of getting the most out of it.

An X50 costs £500 for the G10 framed version and £530 for the carbon fibre version. Both prices don't include the engine although I think you could get a deal with the engine. I don't think the prices have been released for the X90 (although I may be wrong!).

Cheers Nutter so its over twice the price of a 600N then.

I wonder if comparing a £10,000 astra to a £20,000 beemer is fair.

It depends weather its an Astra VXR and a beamer 1 series you're comparing!!! But then a VXR wouldn't cost £10,000 - stupid me!!!!

Thats a good point,so lets say a £10,000 Astra to a £20,000 Astra if they make one that expensive.

I am sure the X50 and 90 are really good models but i will slum it with my Aligns

never bent a thing..and if you were at northnotts you might have seen stefan have one flight with HIS rjx 50 xtreme..the reason he had one flight was because he managed to strip the servo horn in flight then the model had full backwards elevator/cyclic so he hit the hold, did an auto and it tipped over.there wasnt anything bent or stripped.he replaced the horn and flew again....at northnotts stefan flew ians rjx 50 and richards x90.he didnt manage to bend theres either
we went flying yesterday and stefan was doing crack choas/flips/etc and never a problem
what can i say rock solid for us.
next time you see stefan ask him what fifty size helicopter he'd have and then ask him which has fell apart and which has lasted best in 3d abuse
yeah the 700 is great at its price.but i would go for a raptor 90 3d because ok it might be a little heavy compared to modern 90's but if duncan had one on sunday we would have won the 3d championship no problem.his helicopter failed him
ooh by the way.stefan used my raptor 90 at the clubman 3d 2008 because we didnt trust his trex600 it was my decision.he never flew that trex again.and the next competition duncans in im sure he will remember last sunday for a while
                  regards craig simmons.

Well I seem to have started the old debate of RJX v Align. Personally I fly two RJX 50's and have to agree that they do take some setting up and to some extent engineering know how. I think this is one of the most enjoyable aspects (if there is one) of binning the machine, the ability to use the old engineering skills to rebuilt it. If the set up is right the RJX 50's are very responsive and accurate and they look a lot sleeker than the 600's. I do agree that it is a better engineered machine than the 600 and if set up right a pilots dream.

What I like about the x90 is that it looks smaller than most 90 sized machines, has the same engineering standards as the x50 and looks fantastic. What I have yet to see is it really put through it's paces without there being an issue after the flight. I have seen the prototype flown only twice and on the first occation the tail drive failed and the second occation it had engine problems. As with all prototypes you expect this, the 700 will have had similar issues in test. I am hopeful that the production models hit the streets soon so I can see how they perform against the 700 (as the 700 is a good machine and flys really well). If the comparisons are the same for the x90 v 700 as the x50 v 600 I would choose the x90.

Frank needs to really establish the brand including a wider back up service if the model is to reach it's full potential. I am lucky, the UK distributor is on my door step, however, if anything happened to King Cobra then my options for buying spares would be limited.

RJX are the best, I have Trex 600SP and a new X 50, The X 50 is more accurate in the hover and in flight, especial upside down, it trims up the same both the right way up and inverted. Trex are good value for money, but not as well made as RJX SH1T (WalkerC).

all this comparison to the trex is pointless its not exactly the most accurate flying machine especially in stock form.

lets see some comparisons to the knight...

I have done it flies better in my opinion than the k3d, however my 3d flying is pants as i will gladly say time and time again. Only reason i got shut is cos i did a deal for a rex with a k3d and was suitably impressed, and would rather bin a £250 k3d than a £500 x50. Otherwise id still have it now. But i am going to buy an x90 when they are released for general sale. Hopefully simm0 or rainman will let me have a play with theirs first tho.

I dont think you can compare it to a Rex or a Knight, its a £500 50 size FFS.I would flaming want it to be the best of the best for that price.

The Vibe 50 is quite expensive, how does it compare like for like to that one?

the vibe is nearly £500 but its a mainly plastic affair whereas the x50 is all ally so again not a fair comparison but i recon it would be fairly close. To be fair tho if the vibe 50 was ally id expect it to open a can of whoopass!

How can you say that a 600 is not as well made as an X50! You know the problems with the soft ally and the bending pitch control arms. Have you had any build issues or reliability issues with your 600NSP? The tail is belt drive as apposed to torque tube on the SP. Do you get carbon boom or paddles with the X50 kit? I think not! The only reason that you like your RJX is because of the price you got it at.

If you'd have seen WalkerC flying today, you can't say that he's still got his training skids on! Very nice controlled figure of 8's today Mr. Walker!!!

Oh dear I've put my two penny worth in the RJX v Align debate!!
