  • best hex drivers?

what are the best quality hex drivers and where to get them?
Preferably with replaceble ends, and some spare ends in the 1.5 and 2mm sizes.

I've just rounded the sockets out of the screws in the end of my 450 feathering spindle. I resorted to a drill and now I've wrecked the grips, damaged the head block and the damned screw is still in there. worst thing is it was all together and flying fine I just wanted to change the dampers for some truebloods I just acquired

CN2015 : Century Hex Driver Set
Look very similar to fatmantom's suggestion. Holding up well for me so far after about 2 years of use.

I have good things about the set from Align. (Damn that company is in to everything isn't it. lol)

Edit: The cutout in the handle of the century drivers are ball link adjusters.

I use the Align Hex set, plus I have the Align Philips screwdriver/1.5mm Hex combo, which is perfect for screwing in the Feathering Shafts hex screws either end at once.

Plus I use used 4#3b motors and have them magnetise permanently to my Hex tools in my accessory case, along with the other Drivers I use, it helps heaps aiming the hard to reach screws while magnetised to the Hex/Driver head.

Align ones are spot on and have interchangeable ends. Also the ends fit inside to fold the tool down. I used to have the set Tom has but they just strip the grub screws after you have used them for a bit. Only thing they have over the Align ones is the cut out is used as a ball link driver which is very handy. I think i much prefer the Align ones though.

            I think mine are JP.

They also have interchangeable ends and come in a set of 4. I've only had to change one end (the 2mm I think) in 5 years after snapping the ball off the original.

I'd like a set but Google isn't helping. Can you tell me where to order from please? Also I'd like a good quality pair of ball joint pliers.

I use some Losi drivers for RC cars, not cheap but they are very hard wearing I've had one set for almost 4 years now and it's seen a heck of a lot of abuse and still no sign of wear on the tips. Spare tips are also available shoudl you somehow manage to damage them.
Available in all good RC car shops....or much cheaper from the US suppliers on ebay
