  • The Starter really burns!!!

Just about 20 min ago i finally connected 3cel Li-Po to my starter just fed up having to carry that heavy 12v battery from Ripmax. Well after Li-po has been connected i wanted to test if it spins fast enough and strongly to start my Trex 600 Nitro so what iv'e done is placed my palm on that rubber end where you slide in the starter shaft and off it went spinning like hell burning a circle in my palm lol now trying to tipe with one hand while holding the other in plate full of ice (not really helping with the pain but makes it more bearable). Got a very nice white circle in the middle of my hand.

Just thought ill share coz pain is damn incredible

Anyone else done a funny and stupid thisngs? (with their starters lol kiddin anything will do i just hope im not the only one here trying new things)

      Bloody hell, OUCH!

A Trex 600 takes no prisoners and offers no second chance.

Worse that's happened to me was holding the 450 with one hand while spooling up with the other, and at half throttle the Rotas hit my inner arm half way up, it hurt like hell with a right royal bruise the following day.

One of my Cats came close I panicked and push her away with my arm going straight in the blades, I bent a Feathering shaft and I've keeped it to this day as a memento of an act of stupidity.

Due to sheer impatience i one fired up my original T Rex 450 while still sat in my works van,i had it perched on steering wheel connecting lipo and putting canopy on and i knocked the throttle stick with the tailfin.

It hurt and it wasnt in a fit state to fly afterwards, now i always engage hold before connecting anything and wait until i am on the ground ready to go.

M8 started his T-Rex 600 about a month ago after swapping his FF9 7 channel 2.4 module over to the new 8 Channel one without re binding the reciever.

Scared the life out himself and most of the lads in pits, throttle must have been at least half open.

Clutch was smoking like a good one while 2 of us tried to kill the engine!

Half stick throttle lol just remembered my first heli Raptor 30 v2 not knowing where throttle arm on the engine shuld move - up or down of course ive done it in reverse started with throttle arm on the engine fully up lol scared me off quite allot and i then thought you pilots must have loads of courage trying to hold them blades when starting the engine

not heli related but stupid none the less.
about 6 months ago i was cutting a sheet of gyproc plasterboard to size...
you score it down the front face with a stanley knife, snap it then cut through the backing paper.

anyways i had about 15mm to take off the edge of this sheet.... so I score it. snap it..
then proceed to hold the 15mm bit at a right angle so I could cut through the backing paper.. sliced the stanley right through the tips of 4 fingers .

one of the most painful things I've ever done.
