Went to the field on Sunday, first flight with the Raptor 30 was slow figure's.
on one turn I saw a tail glitch and on the next turn a little wag. I decided something was amis so I came down to land. Just as I was a couple of feet off the deck the tail went into a spin but I managed to get it down level.
My tail is usually rock solid all the time so I put the heli in the pits to inspect the setup. could not find anything wrong so I went through all the wiring and replaced an extension that goes to the servo.
Back on the flightline did a long spoolup looking for tail glitches nothing seen.
came into a low hover and lost the tail again. back in the pits same thing all working ok. Spent the next 3 hours tring to suss out the fault always the same thing happens.
only happens at flying revs
I get a dead tail servo that will right itself after a moment or two
when the servo is dead I have power to the GY502 and the LCD display senses stick input
pack volts are ok at 4.9V
I have since tested all the connections with a meter -all ok
I have ordered another servo s2954 to replace the s2953
any other ideas out there?
Steve
