    Hi Bernard

This site may help a little http://www.heliguy.com/nexus/controlls.html

Thanks to Lee and Brian - I will read heliguy slowly but first impression is that it certainly will help. Lee - I have a birthday soon so DX6i will certainly be on the list. I am quite happy flying my CX2 but outside it has to be exceptionally calm. Blade 400 seems a bit fast to fly in the garden (20yds x 15yds) - is there a fixed pitch about the size of CX2 which would cope with outside flying? Any thoughts please.
Thanks for comments so far chaps.

        Hi

Just read through the web site you suggested Brian. It's great and though I don't understand it all yet ( not much of it to be honest!) it certainly seems comprehensive and the glossary is excellent. I recommend it to any one who has already started with a co-axial and is looking for more information before deciding on the next step.

        Thanks again

To be honest Bernard you wont really find a fixed pitch heli that would cope with even little wind really. Your gonna need a collective pitch helicopter to get out in even light winds. Something like a Blade 400/mini titan/trex 450/Belt CP/Twister Storm or if you wanted to spend more money then the newer 450 size helis like the Rave/outrage/Beam etc
Obviously these cost alot more money than a fixed pitch heli though mate. My opinion is dont bother with any fixed pitch ones and go straight to one of the ones i mentioned. That along with Phoenix is all you'll need as a beginner. All depends if you have a budget which one you'll end up with. Some are better than others but 'you pay for what ya get at the end of the day' mate and that statement is very true with this hobby in general.
          Cheers

Thanks Lee - budget is not reeally too much of a problem but I really want something I can slow fly within the garden. will look at some of the ones you list and start thinking.
            Thanks again

Blade 400 might be the best option for ya mate as you get the DX6i with it. Heli is also RTF (ready to fly) so you will be able to fly it right out of the box. Never seen one in the flesh but theres a few guys on here say they are very good. You get everything you need with it.
              Cheers
