Just one more bit of advice please, before this thread closes, my local store can get me the 3152 servos £20 each, they said that they should be £24.99 each, but will let me have 3 for £60. My question is they also have an offer for a FF7 2.4ghz Tx with 4 3152 servos for £229, should I go for this offer and sell my T7CP Tx and reciever or just buy the 3 servo's and stick with 35mhz?

Before you spend any money shop around for your stuff. Check with Inwood models in Huntingdon as they have the 3152s for £15.00 and they might hsve a better price on the whole system you are looking at.

It is wise never to accept the first offer.

If you can afford the 2.4GHz system then you will never have to wait for a spare channel at most clubs or fly-ins plus there should be no risk of being shot dow.

Will the 3152 servo's be strong enough for fast stall turns, and maybe even a rolls and a loops, a bit further down the line for me or do I need to go the 9252's?

The 3152 will be fine for rolls and loops and stall turns. What it wont be fine for is pitch pumping type moves.

The collective on the raptor, as you know, is driven by a single servo and for that you will need a more powerful servo that has more torque and speed and also in my opinion a double ball raced output shaft. Servos like the 9252, 9255, 9452 and BLS451 are the possibly the servos you will be looking at in the future for the collective servo. When you switch to one of these servos you will quite a difference in speed.

            I've taken the plunge and decided to order 2 x 3152's (.22s/60° @ 69oz on 4.8V) for £15.99 and one 3305 (0.23 sec/60 degrees at 4.8V 99 oz-in 7.1 kg/cm) at £28.99 for the collective. Both from Inwood.
I was looking at the 9252, but the 3305 is half the price BUT has a little more torque! (7.4 oz more)
Will .13 of a sec be noticeable to me, I doubt it ! It also has more than double the Torque I currently have in the 148's !

I also fly a raptor 50 and I have noticed sometimes that the tail mechanism binds a little...which can lead to glitches in the tail (although i see you got the problem sorted)
but for future ref if it happens to you.
its easily fixed by greasing all moving parts on the tail rotor assembly.
also stick some grease in the tailboom guides.

Good move to change the servo's and keep the Rappy,
You will notice the difference and I'm sure it will handle all you can throw at it.
I've had a R50 for 4 years now and still enjoy flying it.
If you need more power as your flying progresses slip in a hyper, raise the nitro %
bling up a bit and away you go, still cheaper than getting a 500

Just a quick reply regarding Inwood Models, as I have read a few bad service reports on them.......I ordered my servo's on the phone around 4pm, they arrived next day before 4pm, excellent service!
