On my night fly setup I have a couple of 1.5m glow strings on a HK special driver.
I used this on my 450 running an 3 cell lipo and it seemed fine.
On my 600n its running off a 2 cell pack, and although I haven’t actually compared it seemed very very dim when I was flying it. Particuarly the blue string on the tail may as well have not been there (though it was not quite completely dark, the blades were easly seen though). We had to wait until it was quite dark before we could tell if these strigs wer on or not!
So I’m wondering if a 9v dry cell might make them brighter, but it may not be significantly more volts than the 2 cell pack.
I don’t want to strap a trex450 pack to my heli just to power the lights.
Any suggestions?
Are the align ones plenty bright off 2 cells?
I might ask FL to fetch me some align stuff to Notts. I'm hoping to be there until late on saturday, all weather dependant.
