    hi anyone know how to open the plastic telephone connector that fits into the interface as i have managed to pull out one of the wires
    :cry:

    those connectors are use once connectors I doubt you will have any joy getting the wires back in.

    You can either open the dongle up and solder the wire straight in or a new cable is only about 6ukp from your local reflex stockist.

        Those connectors are pretty standard RJ45 plugs as used in huge numbers in both the telecoms and IT industries. If you wanted to just get hold of a new plug, you will almost certainly get one from somewhere like Maplin electronics, www.maplin.co.uk

          actually they are RJ11, The connectors are cheap but I think the crimp tool is pretty expensive, probably cheaper just to buy a new lead.

            if i can find an old one i will split the cable and just heat shrink the two together after soldering them

              If you are having trouble i would be happy to fit a new RJ11 for you as i work in IT and have the tools to do so. Thats if you dont mind posting it to me.

                thanks very much for the offer but i have opened the dongle and soldered it direct it works so it will do until i get a new one ,
