      Also check your AR6100E's
Had an antenna fall of my lads a week ago and caused a crash as of course the 6100's don't have a second receiver, the plastic cover had cut through the wire as it was a sharp edge with no protection, the remaining wire was also well on its way to departing also

Yep I have done the 'hot glue' treatment on mine for this very reason

"If the antenna is firmly attached it is recommended that the case be taken apart..."

Wont it Invalid the warranty by opening the device? Just asking

I believe Horizon are aware of people doing this little mod.

Personally I would prefer to argue the point with them should the need arise than risk an antenna falling off.

Fit for purpose and all that...

            Cheers

The early AR7000s had the same problem. I split the cases on mine and stuck heatshrink round and then closed the case round the heatshrink.

I've soldered a few of my attenna wires back on and if your careful it's quite easy. The biggest issue is being careful not to damage the case.

If you have the time I would send them back to Horizon whatever the case as from my experience they are really helpful.

I would say if they are advising you to open the case then as long as you have done it with due care then the warranty should still be in place.
                All the best

And if it is an issue then Spectrum should of done it themselves at the manufacturing stage!

this is whats happend to mine the case has split the antenna off so iv solderd a new one on but the cases arnt so easy to get apart without damaging them, im not sure people shud have to split there own cases to glue them unless the new cases are easyer to split
