  • Am i the only one?

didn't know where else to post this so thought this would be ok.
Basically my flyings progression has halted over the last year maybe 2, because i have no one else around me at my level to push me or to aim for.
Does anyone else have this sort of issue? anyone in the lincs notts area wanna play
    cheers Lee

If it ain't broke fix it until it is
yes i'm an idiot and no i couldn't care any less

"dont you think thats a little arrogant considering the company your in".. sorry a quote from top gun there

but i totaly agree lee. you need people around you to follow or emulate, and to inspire you. this year at DMHC we've seen the likes of aidi, trex pedro and machasm go from beginners to near 3d pilots all by following each other and pushing each other.

and then again it doesn't always work cos there is me. who after a year am still hovering around like what can only be described as a whore in cheep stilletto's

You could come up here more often Lee but your flyin's shite mate.

You would really struggle with the "CLASS" tail in hovering we do up here.

Seriously mate I know we spoke about this mid week on the phone and both I and robgt told you last weekend you have far too much talent to sit at home because looking at your flying from last weekend you are definately competition material in a big way.

I keep telling you and I know its a long drive but you are welcome to fly here anytime you want, Now looking for someone to match you is gonna take some finding but you know how much you enjoyed flying with Rob last week so I really hope you get back into it real soon.

What I would give for half your talent, Keep at it Lee..

completely agree Lee. We have no one round here that flys to any real standard, and therefore progress is slow but steady for the 2 or 3 of us that aspire to compete and get much much better. The people that are new at the club pick it up quickly because theres a couple of us pushing along

I have seen Lee fly a few times and have to say that its nice to watch , soo smooth and precise ... I just wish I had half your talent Lee...

It's true what you say about pushing each other as since I been flying with people that are near or about my skill level has made me come on leaps and bound in the last few months ...

I dont know n e one n e where near your level of flying tho Lee so I think its a little harder for you to have someone that can do the same to you ... I do hope ya get sorted m8e

Gotta say i have never had this problem as my brother has been flying a year longer than me and we always fly together so i can learn from him, I like to think I push him on too though when i start to catch up .

I've said to Lee before now he does need someone either his level or better to fly with... If you have people around the same level or better your going to stride to do better.

Unfortunately he gets to fly with me and I'm sooooooooo far behind his skills.

No-one else in the club comes close to Lee's flying level and really thats a shame.

As we've talked about before, I like the video downloads from 3D Masters, XFC, Las Vegas Funfly, Align funfly, IRCHA etc as all the best guys are out there on video doing their stuff.

The crap weather doesn't help though eh, matey

I think Lee watching and flying with you Rob last weekend has brought this thread to light.

How about we have a flyin once a month. Would be cool.

im very fortunate in who i have the absolute pleasure to fly alongside, however it does have its drawbacks. A: i get intimidated when there an inverted funnel going on next to me with the tail blades brusing floor etc. and B: because of who i fly with, i tend to push myself too hard and end up making a right pigs ear of it. Most of the time resulting in a crash, however i have now nailed tic tocs (tail down and side to side need to perfect nose down) and rainbows and can sort of do a messy singapore sling. I can do a few more stunts but at the minute they are the ones im most proud of.

But basically what im trying to say is yes its fantastic having somebody at world level to fly with and they can drag your flying on no end, but you do need a lot of self control to not get carried away and push beyond the realms of what you can recover from

thanks for all your comments guys i'm just in a bit of a dilema as to which way to go with my flying i need some inspiratation getting bored of going out and doing the same old stuff, even when someones says can you do this usually can i need a top 3d flyer to chase.
i keep thinking about getting a 90 probably a synergy but at the moment i think it'd be wasted
                      cheers Lee

Maybe and maybe you should consider join the wetlands club and while it is an hour's drive for you if you went once a month for a day you could reap the benefits they have some decent 3D'ers to fly with
