  • Main lipo leads from ESC, close to a servo cable?

Hey guys, doing my Dragonus 450 rebuild still.

I'm getting close to finishing the electronics off and I'm just so confused on all this electronic interference stuff.

You have to keep everything far from the RX, I've done that.

Now I'm wondering about servo leads, what can interfere with them?

The only way I can seem to get the ESC in is going to let the lipo cables rest against the servo cable (no other way).

And the other servo cable (FL cyclic servo) is pretty close to the ESC.

Would it really interfere with it? The motor is also within just a few mm on both front cyclic servos, but it always has been. (only way with the Dragonus frame).

    2.4GHz Spektrum.

Thank you. Please respond ASAP, halting the build .

dont think ya shud have n e probs with interference on 2.4ghz ... the space ya need to stop it interfering is miniscule in our terms lol .... mates got a dragonus and he just put everything in it like he wud normally .. my trex wires go near my Esc and also my lipo .. no probs so far

It's always been a good idea to keep high voltage away from low voltage

With the advent of 2.4 it has become less of an issue.

Personally I've had no problem with HV next to 35Mhz stuff or 2.4Ghz stuff but I'd suggest the same old thing of try it and see because all setups are different!!

See what feedback you get here for a couple of hours though first

Yeah, I remember hearing something about high and low voltage, just wondering if that was a myth or true.

I could just strap it all in now but I don't want to go through all the hassle of taking it apart again, because I take forever doing it (nothings right unless it's perfect!!!)

TBH I don't really understand the advance side of electronics, I have a bad feeling it's mostly myths that are going around, but I'll wait as you say and I'll see the replies. I've been looking around and I can't find much on it.

Thanks Mike, good to know you had no probs!

          Spektrum.

You'd expect motors, ESCs, etc not to interfere.

They seem to be sensitive to static discharge (ESD) from belts, etc.

So, I don't think the location matters, but you want to take steps to make sure the static leaks, rather than ESD-ing.

Graphite paste worked for me (thanks, Brin...)
