It's more likely that the problem will be your video card, I'm using a radeon 9200 se 128meg along with a p4 3ghz processore and 512ram, ok for the most part but occasionally it will bog down for a couple of seconds. Make sure you have nothing else runing like virus checkers & spyware progs, anything that will eat up resources and lastly, don't run it in windowed mode. full screen will be faster.

    Good luck 8)

Light travels faster than sound, this is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak....

Also make sure you shut down any programs running in the background that use a lot of system resources, eg fileshare stuff, make sure your anti virus isnt scanning, also music players sometimes use quite a lot of resources, ie musicmatch.

        Good luck

Make sure you install the latest drivers for your video card and the latest version of DirectX and any DirectX patches from Microsoft.

Full screen also makes a big difference.

            Hi.

            First off

            End all running applications

            Then go to

            Simulation > Display mode during simulation > full screen in ?? x ?? x 16 (?? is your resoloution i.e mine is 1024 x 768)

now try it if it still jumps around a lot then youll have to do a couple of other things i dont have a clue what scenery your using if its the default one then my computer jumps a little with that one just try a couple of the other sceneries.

if it is still jumping then go to

            simulation > general & un-check exhaust cloud

these should make a difference but i would also note that if i was you i would defrag your computer too as this tends to slow mine down a bit when it is in need of doing.

            hope this helps

Turning off the V-SYNC also increases the frame rate
