  • JR Venture 60 - Any Good???

Hi im about to buy another heli, currently fly a Sceadu 30. The new one is a very little used JR Venture 60 with OS 70 and 501/502 gyro. Are these any good? What are spares like?? Wheres the best place to get spares for them, midland helicopters dont seem to have much for them.

Any help would be most appreciated.

spares are pretty expensive for JR stuff generally.

60s arent really much of an upgrade these days. They are more of a step sideways compared to a 30. They are a bit more stable and auto better but thats pretty much it.

on the downside spares are a lot more expensive for any 60 and the fuel consumption is a fair bit higher.

If your looking for something to do aerobatics/3d on them a 50 is a much better investment as they are basically a stretched 30.

it depends what level your flying is at and what you want to do in the long term.

The JR Venture 60 is a very good heli.
The only remarks I can make:

      - i'ts not the ultimate 3D machine, but if you want stability...
      - The fuel tank is located between de lower chassis, so you need an exhaust spacer for the muffler! (see K&S) or you need to purchase the JR Muffler.
      - The pinion must be glued (loctide) into the upper bearing, be shure to take care of this.

Problems, after 50 flights, only the rubber protection strip between chassis and fueltank is ripped over one cm, I've just cut this so It doesn't strip further on.
