  • Whats the deal with Lipos these days?

So I was thinking of buying myself a new heli to build for the day I can get out and fly again. I built an Oxy4 a couple of years ago but never flew it before selling it. But I still have 4 Haiyin lipos I bought for it, although no idea if they will be any good after 2 years sat at storage charge.

I was thinking of just getting another Oxy4, as I have a set of radix 350's after a cupboard clearout. But since the lipos may not be any good I thought about the Oxy4Max as it's the same price. But looking around there's almost no 6s 1800mah lipos other than maybe Optipower at huge cost. I didn't think this was an odd size, so looked at the 1300's and again not many makes now. What's the deal with Lipo sizes these days?

You might want slightly larger for a Max, but I use HK Nanotech 1550mah 6S 65-130C on my ALZRC X360 (360mm blades) and on my X3L (380mm blades) and I'm very happy with them.

From what everyone says - go for the Max rather than std OXY 4

Yeah the max has a range of 6s 1500 to 2200 but recommends 1800 I think my 1300's will be a bit small for that but would be perfect in the Oxy4-360, which is why I have them anyway. I should probably just get an Oxy5 and use the pile of 6s 4000's I have as well lol
