  • Advice needed 450 heli

I'd like to hear members' advice on an inexpensive 450 heli.
I am actually looking at one which is an Align Trex 450 Sport so any suggestions would be appreciated.

ALZRC X360 £209 for the full 'Super Combo'. https://uk.banggood.com/ALZRC-X360-F...r_warehouse=CN

Downsides are it's a Gaui X3 clone (with upgrades) and it's only available from China, but it is a nice little heli for a great price.

Downsides are it's a Gaui X4 clone (with upgrades) and it's only available from China, but it is a nice little heli for a great price.
A few years back I had an HK450 which was OK. Admittedly I had for my comparison my electric Raptor and for me the Raptor has been impossible to better.

      I am already considering a follow up with a 550 or 600.

450s are great for being compact and inexpensive, but they are limited with regard to the weather you can fly in. I almost always bring my 450 along with whatever else I'm flying but there were days when the 450 just couldn't cope. Sooooo, something bigger will be more versatile (and easier to see ).

Totally agree and first I shall dip my toe back in the flying with a 450 then like you go bigger so I can take two with me all things being equal. The hunt starts now for a reasonably priced 550/600 machine.

I have all the gear which is a blessing, just need a used bird ready to go.

I still enjoy flying my 450 a lot. It's a nice change from the bigger ones. But as it's only on 3s and not ballistic amounts of power, there were times when it could barely go up-wind. But it's great in calm conditions on a bright sunny day and so easy to carry around.

Now if only someone was importing 550 - 600 size helis

Just being a pedant - but the X360 is a clone of the X3

The X360 is MILES beter than the old HK450.

As for the 550 and 600, i can help you there: http://ScotiaRC.co.uk

                    Yeah right.
If the 450 is that good I might stick and not twist.

I don't like the idea of good forums being deserted because I think they have so much more to offer.

                        It is happening all over.

Yeah, i think that's a big part of it. Stupid really because the FB platform is just not suited to this sort of group.
