  • Tarot 550 Pro Build and Flight Photographs/Video

Today I got a few (very cold) flights in with the new Tarot 550. It's got KST servos, Hobbywing Technology esc, EGODRIFT motor and I'm using OptiPower 6S 5000mah packs in a 6S config.

The more I fly it the more I love it. Admittedly, I'm a fairly new pilot but I don't feel it is less to fly (if you know what I mean) than my Goblin 500 and if anything it possibly feels more stable. Not sure if that is slightly bigger blades or just fbl setup. Speaking of FBL I use a Spirit 2 with Jeti. About 10 flights or so on it now and it's fast becoming a favourite.

I'd got nervous of pushing the Goblins to much as the repair costs were mounting up. I love them to look at and to fly but you all know what it's like. I'm hoping that with this model and it's much cheaper repair costs I'll be more tempted to push on and keep learning. If I learn as much this year as I did in 2019 I'll be a very happy camper. Thanks again to Stephen Bage from ScotiaRC for all the help and also to Craig Mason for keeping me right.

Anyway, enough talking! Here are some photographs I'd a club mate take of the model flying today.

For anyone interested here is the a link to my build video on YouTube. Even for an inexperienced builder like me it was only the work of three evenings to put it together (not including the fbl setup).

Tbh I couldn't be happier, I've a heli that flies really well, crash costs at a fraction of what my SABs cost to repair and a distributor who takes time to help you out. What more could I ask for.

    Thanks for looking

    Great pic Stevies!

For those who dont know, Tarot were struggling to find a UK dealer so i decided to give it a go. I'm still in process of setting up a website (it's part built, check out ScotiaRC.co.uk ) but I have stock of heli kits, electronics and parts for the 550 and 600 versions, so just give me a shout if you want one.
