  • Esky Honeybee FP

    Hi

I am a newcomer to this site and am hoping that someone can help me out.

I have recently purchased (and am well chuffed with) an Esky Honeybee FP (EK1H-E004 to be precise). When I purchased this model, the seller had stated that it was the same model as the Twister and to be fair to him, it is widely banded about the internet that they are the same thing - they are not!! After some inevitable prangs, I have now attempted to replace a part - namely one of the the main blade control links - and have found that the holes on theTwister version are smaller. To counter this, I then purchased the flybar control set (to go on the bottom end of the new Twister links) as well as the rotor head plate to go on top. It now appears that because the centre hub will not now fit the flybar control set, I will have to buy the centre hub/link set and swashplate to effectively turn this thing into a Twister. So in effect, before I waste yet more hard earned, I was hoping that someone might know of a supplier of parts in the UK for the model that I have. There are some in Japan/USA but I cannot face a prolonged wait every time a part is needed.

I hope that if nothing else, this info may assist other potential Honeybee purchasers that are banking on using Twister spares that are readily available - but won't fit!!!!

    HELP!!!

A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

    And a DX8 too

            try:

www.rcscale.co.uk (where I brought mine from, quick delivery from HK)

            or

http://www.heli-fever.com (not used but looks like better prices and more parts)

Thanks - I tried RC Scale...no response yet

Heli Fever looks good and has exactly what I need......even though it is in Hong Kong. Why are there no UK outlets that list these parts???

I beleive rcscale operates from the UK or USA (ditto Heli-fever). Goods are shipped from HL because the factory is just over the boarder in Shenzen.

I ordered by Honey Bee on a Monday evening and received it Thursday morning (that's 2.5 days) from 7,000 miles away. Doubt even a UK supplier can match that. My only concern was follow up service. But James at rcscale was great, responding to my emails with 1 hour even on a Saturaday.

Thanks for the help everyone. Glyn at http://www.electrichelicopters.co.uk/
has been very helpful and I think can sort me out. Apparently these things do use different parts which seems to have caught a few suppliers out!!!

I have visited this site and the parts listed are for the CP version only....no photos therefore no idea of what will arrive. This is exactly what I have been up against - thanks anyway......
