Anyways, back to the garage....

Added a blade store. Will neaten this up and add some more screws for more blades. I always end up removing the blades when working on helis. It will be nice to hang them up instead of moving them around the garage from worktop to worktop....

I was going to fill the space below the amp with either more shelves or draws. But since the time i have had since in the garage, its become a useful cubbyhole for models / projects in progress. So i think i will leave it an open space....

Also took the random heli skid clamps down and made a rail to hang helis from. This allows me to wall mount any heli now. Also the notice board has been a handy addition to keep track of parts required / notes when building models...

i will be tidying up the bit of cable tray above the kse next time i am up there.

I think when i get 5 mins i will do another sweep of the garage and see if i can get rid of some more stuff. The only bits left now are the bit under my bench on the back wall and under the helis where my battery shelves are.

I have also had a quick look at tidying up the box store.

There is still a fair way to go with the garage and it is definitely an ongoing project. But going back to the beginning of this thread, the space that i now have is in another dimension to what i had. And anyone thinking of similar i can highly recommend it. Even if its just reducing the amount of junk you have collected over the years.

My space is far from perfect, there are loads of bits that are not, like the paintwork on the walls / ceiling etc. But the important thing is its now a nice space to use, and a space i have created and tidied up. Its been a journey of removing items that are not required and giving the stuff i hobby with the space it needs. Its getting better and better all the time.

Mitutoyo calipers. It's nice to see nice tools.

Ha yes. I did once go to the Mitutoyo training facility at halifax. very impressive!

Nice man cave!
I have given my garage to the wife and converted it in to a treatment room!
So now i need a large insulated shed with power and a large lock on it so she can't see all my toys!

Nice job. Trick now is to keep it tidy.

I've just built my garage and have found I've been in it during the week and at weekends regularly. What I did without it I don't know! I have a lot of space but no storage yet so everything is on the floor. Over christmas I hope to work on storage a little more.

UPDATE:

Been really busy over the last few months with various things. but glad to say the garage is doing well. As pointed out the real challenge is keeping it tidy but i have been thinning out my stuff....

G500

The 500 is now complete and flying extremely well. Its is no testament to my buildling skills (or lack of) but the heli is as smooth as you like. It is currently my go to heli. Its great fun. I have 4 packs for it that a share with a plank. it is hitting the spot.

The boom attachment is different between the original and sport. So a bit of marking out and drilling...

Next was wiring. I usually use 7mm heat shrink over the servo wires in specific areas to protect the cable but also to form it to certain shapes.

The 770 is also complete and flying. I am having a bit of a vibration issue on the 770 that i am struggling to track down. Thea brain says vibes are ok but u can see the skids oscillating in flight..

The next big thing i have done for the garage is to build a gaming / high performance computer. Its been on my bucket list for a fair few years and really fancied building one. I have never done anything serious with computers in the past and certainly never built one...
