  • Best Gyro Tape?

    Hi,

I have a solid G Gyro using the thin stock tape. Wanting to experiment. What tapes do you guys use. Can you tell me part numbers and where to buy from?

Ive heard 3m do a tape from B&Q but unsure which?

    Cheers

I use the Spartan Vibration Attenuation Kit, costs under £3, and you get sticky pads, plain double sided sticky squares and a metal plate.

It holds my GY401 down like shit to a blanket mate.

CSM padding is quite good, and a lot of people use the 3M stuff.
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Ive been told for electric helis use some decent double sided sticky tape as there isnt any vibration.

For nitros anything from Futaba pads to the thicker more spongier CSM ones depending on the gyro.

I use the futaba pads, found the CSM ones to flexable and the tail didn't feel locked in.
Beware on nitros mind to regularly check the tape, don't want a gyro falling off mid flight
