  • Taking your helicopter abroad

    Hi guys,

i'm interested to know from any of the guys that have taken their helicopters abroad, what case they used for travelling? Say if i was going to rchotel or something and i wanted to take my logo 550 with me. I've heard a lot of people simply use golf club cases, remove the boom and pack their clothes around the model. Does anyone have any experience of this and what is the best thing to do? What case are you using? Where can i buy one?

    Many Thanks!

I’ve used a Samsonite case on the last 2 visits to Rchotel, packing a logo 600 and Goblin 380 in with my clothes. The casing is quite thin compared to the older cases, my logo got damaged on our visit last year. It looked like someone had stood on the case.

My mate has an older Samsonite case that is made from thicker material and survives better.

This is year I will be looking for a golf case and checking that in separately.

I've ended up going for the longridge case as per RichardV- https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001UE6X...343&th=1&psc=1
        Hopefully it holds up well.
