I am having a great deal of trouble with getting the sarter shaft to stay in the rubber bung at the end of the starter.
I don't want to end up having a shaft embedded in me,heli or an inocent bystander so.......

Is there a starter shaft conversion on the market that will allow you to snap on/off the shaft so it is fixed to the starter unit and doesn't end up coming loose every 6 seconds.
    P.S.
    I have a flight leader starter.£16 jobby

    Cheers all

Nip down to ya local hobby store and take ya starter with ya and match one up for the rubber bung ... Or ya can always drill it and screw it in to the cup ...I think after a while the rubber starts to wear out and it gets loose .. I nipped down to LHS and got em to match one for my starter cup and shaft and it sits really tight in there ....

Ive got one of these shafts that clamp to the output of the started disadvantage is if you start planks youll need another starter.

I remove the hex drive shaft from the ally adaptor and use it in cordless drill running in reverse, works a treat!

I got through the adapter plate for the makita battery packs, dunno if it'll ever get used looking at the prices of makita batteries lol.

But great idea and good bit of engineering.
