Can some one help me track this align part?

Hi all

So i have recently got back into my Heli's after a long break, i have what i believe to be an old Trex 600N sport (converted to FBL)

Yesterday flying about i heard a very strange sound so came back in and started loosing my tail then the tail went completely. about 10 feet up. i managed to get it on the ground with only tail blades and a damaged skid needing replacing. However the failure what the little plastic gear that connects to the main gear. I have the old Grey gear set. But this is the only picture i can find of this part and there is no part number.

I called align trex and they have told me that they cannot get this part anymore and dont catalog it so dont have the part number If i knew the part number i could have a shop about. They have suggested i convert to Torque tube but at £150 it seems a bit extreme for one small gear that's gone. Strangely there is no damage to the main gear yetthat little plastic one is completely smooth now.

I might have one in my parts bin or part off an airframe. But this won't be the last time you have the problem so the torque tube may be a good option. I've got 3 airframes, engine etc and some parts if you're interested in a deal.

The part number is H60078.It was fitted to the original Trex 600e and the Trex600n sport, but I can't see any for sale.

Thanks Davey if you have one that sounds great happy to Paypal you some money for it As below that the correct part number but it seems that Align no longer make that part. Hobby king list the part compatible but they also have stopped this part. Midland came out top trumps on this and confirmed the part number and also that its unlikely that they will get more soon but do have them on order with align so who knows. Apparently the white gear replaced the grey one thats a little bit stronger.

Interesting so its a fairly common problem then? I have literally only just got back into the game after years of missing it. managed to pick this heli up cheap to crash and bash until I am capable again. This went in a fairly quick circuit and was a hair raising moment. Especially when i did not realize that my throttle hold that i reached for also had a different pitch curve of about 3 degrees less pitch but some how a managed to just have a bit of a hard landing busting a tail blade and the front landing struts.

I could be interested but im on a bit of a money spending ban at the moment as we have a wedding in August and well thats doing a good job of draining my account haha. Usually i would jump at the chance but having had to buy a brand new radio setup charger and then a second hand 600n I might have to just take the gear if you happen to have one Message me what your after/what you have and i can mull it over for the other parts.

Thanks guys even though it seems a bit quiet in here plenty of knowledge kicking about. Im flying with a couple of other chaps who are not on here i will get them to sign up.

Thanks mate thats the part. Same here i cant find any for sale or second hand apart from maybe Waveydavey above. seems its a tough part to source. annoyingly they still sell the belt tail gear set just not the front.

I'll have a look tonight and let you know. It will need the newer type main gear though as the grey was superseded when it went from 0.8 to 1 mod.

Yep, got one. Do you want the whole thing, front take off box, tailtube and rear tail gearbox. Saves me taking it apart, the tube is red though. I'll chuck the tail gear in too, or you can buy the whole lot IE 3 airframes, new OS50 with Zimmerman pipe, highflow Thundertiger pipe, main blades, spares etc. It'll sort you out for some spares and cheaper than buying at full retail... Up to you I can give you a list of everything there is, I'm done with helis for the immediate future so grab yourself a bargain or it's all going on ebay

Thanks Davey your a star, The gear is what i immediately need however ping me a message with what sort of money your after and i will let you know. However is easier for your to post buddy. I Dont want to spend a fortune on this Heli as i intend on going electric sometime soon once i have got back into it with this old girl. Although would like to keep it flying. Myself and one other have BMFA the third does not, However we fly on his farm so if he flies into a tractor or cow thats his problem lol. Thankfully lucky enough that his farm is massive and we have about 15 flying sites within 10-15min drive. I also fly fixed wing at a "club" site so need BMFA for this.

I sorry that this is going off topic. If he flies into you, or anyone else and chops your arm off, it would be useful for him to have £25 million worth of insurance to compensate you.
