Have a look at a Trex 470 the bits are cheap and its a cracking little heli
there always seems to be one or two on the BMFA for sale if you go second hand
and you would afford a good one on your budget and some new 6s lypos as well

Thanks for all the advise, I suppose I had better get on and sell the 600 to raise some funds

As for selling a heli that’s a few years old. Set your expectations on price very low and be prepared to negotiate down from there. It’s just the way the market for used helis is right now.

Nice, dont forget to show us it when it's built. FWIW I'd have gone with some HV servos, something like KST DS215 are great value for the cyclics. Fast enough for use on the tail too.

I already had the servos, so using them to keep cost down at the moment. Hope to start the build this week!

                Excellent - I have OXY2 and OXY3, but no 4 yet - you'll love it.

As Grumpy said your servos are the weak link with your set-up, the Turnigy 306 is basically a rebranded KST215, about £20 a pop from HobbyKing and available in the UK, they will work fine as a tail servo (as well as cyclic) until you get to demanding manouvres when they may struggle - but I use one on my Protos 380 as well as numerous 450s and they are fine for my "aggressive sports" flying

So in 2013 I crashed my 700N and since then its not been repaired and I have not flown since due to family commitments.

I am looking to get back into the hobby (Shops and Brands seem to have disappeared!), but with only a 700N and 600N it takes commitment to get to the field. I am considering selling the 600N to fund a smaller electric heli that I could have in my car and then nip to the flying field at lunchtime. Leaving all the fuel etc in my car for the 600N does not really appeal to me.

I have 6 Lipos, (3s 2200mah) - what heli would suit these? either in 3s format or doubling up for 6s. Budget would be around £350-450 I guess and I would not want anything bigger than a 500 sized Heli.

I have servos from a 450 so I could reuse those, but would need a motor/esc and fbl controller.

                  Possibly something like -

Started the build, but the supplied pinion fits a motor shaft of 3.5mm and my motor has a 3.16mm shaft

Correct pinion ordered and delivered ready for the build to continue this weekend!

May be worth pointing put the trex 450lp kits and running it on 3s. Or just get the combo and buy a 6s battery that will be under the 400 pound budget cheap heli to get you back into the hobby with parts available all over the UK from Midland helicopters.
