Servo for Trex 500

I have a friend who has stripped a gear on his Trex 500 ( align DS510M ) it seems they have been discontinued & we can’t find
any servos or gears , SO what other servos will fit ? Or if anybody knows where wee can find one for sale , it’s a old Heli so he doesn’t
want to spend a lot of money on it , any info on what servos will fit would be appreciated so we can look on eBay etc for a replacment set

I'm pretty sure I have a gearset for the 510, I'll have a look in just a sec. Are the DS515 gears not compatible?

Thanks , Im not sure if the 515 gears fit , BUT I’m also not sure if they are still available now either, Kd

Man, I'm really out of touch! So is the 535 the main Align 500 / mid size servo now? I have an old style Trex 500 I started building up and I started thinking about servos a while back and was going to see if Turnigy or KST has something but I always assumed I could get 515s

Hi my fellow club member had the same problem when he wrecked all three 510s on his 500,gears not available anywhere in uk so had
to get some from Heli- Heli.com in America recieved whithin a week. Good luck.

Looks like the DS535 is now the servo supplied with the Trex 500 , also looks like the DS530 may still be available
BUT not the DS510 or DS515 , hence why we are looking for DS510M gears or a servo
im sure there will be savox or HK equivalent , it would be better for him if he can find a DS510M gears/servo
do you think you have gears or servo you want to part with ?

Away on holiday at the moment, but have got a good half dozen 510 servos at home. If you can wait till the end of the month, will check them out and get back to you

I really thought so but I have looked and so far have not seen any. I will look again though. All my heli stuff is still very disorganised after my house move last year and I have not gone through it all to sort through everything.

I think they do a DS510 which is plastic gears and the DS510M which is metal gears , it is the DS510M he is after
I’ll speak to him Tomorrow & see what he wants to do , thanks for all the help , with your help looks like we’ll get it fixed one way or another

Ahhh, I only ever used the plastic gears so I would not have the metal ones unfortunately.
